- There are 3 goals on the field.
- The center goal is a 30in diameter circle and the center of the circle is 8.5ft above the ground, located above the driver's station.
- There are 80 7in poof balls on the field, each alliance starts with 40.
- Each robot may start with up to 10 balls contained inside or next to it.
- There is a green light above each center goal for robots to locate with the CMUcam.
- Robots must not exceed 28"x38"x60" to begin the match.
Autonomous Mode:
- During autonomous mode your robot can search for the green target and shoot balls into any of your three goals.
- Bonus points are awarded to the alliance with the highest amount of points during autonomous.
- The alliance that scores highest in autonomous will be on defense during the first round.
Human Player Element:
- Human players stand in the driver station area and launch the poof balls back onto the field once they have been scored by the opposing alliance.
- Human players may only score in the side goals or fill up their robots, they may not score in the center goal.
- When loading the balls, the human player must be behind the start line in the driver station.
Game Play:
- Robots push balls into lower goals and shoot them into the center goal.
- There will be cameras on the goal to count the balls as they are scored.
- You cannot intentionally ram or tip another team, especially by hitting high.
- Robots cannot "grab, grasp, grapple, or attach to any other field structure".
- After autonomous mode, robots play 3 rounds of 40 second durations which include a round of offense, defense, and free for all.
Scoring:
- 3 points for each ball launched into the center goal.
- 1 point for each ball placed into the corner goals.
- 10 points for the alliance with the highest score during autonomous.
- 5 points for one robot back on top of the platform at the end of the match, 10 points for two, and 25 for three or more robots on top.
